Here are the rules:

To gain entry, any purchase made from both
Leva Bates’ and Allison Danger’s Amazon wishlists will give the buyer a
ticket into a lottery. Winner of the lottery will get to choose the
theme of the costumes worn on the SHIMMER Women Athletes October 27-28
tapings. Now for the small twist-Bates and Danger have secretly starred
five items on each wishlist. Purchase of a starred item gets the buyer
TWO entries into the lottery.

The
winner will get to choose a theme, to be submitted by July 31, 2012,
and the theme must be within reason i.e. nothing skanky, nothing
distasteful, no Fifty Shades of Gray nonsense (ha!). Re-X reserves the
right to say your idea stinks and send it back for re-tooling (but we
will work with the winner to find something we all can agree on).
Remember, last year’s winner gave us the awesome Back to the Future idea
so you guys have pretty big shoes to fill in 2012. In addition, the
winner will receive a Re-X gift pack of the next to be released shirt,
autographed photos and possible heaps of praise on the SHIMMER message
board (Re-X does not guarantee heaps of praise but will gladly put a
fiver on someone bitching about your choice).

Any questions? On April 28th, KG and I will be embarking on our second charity walk for the March of Dimes. The MoD is a great organization dedicated to healthy babies. This is a group who is near and dear to my heart and I need your help raising money for this very worthy cause.

My daughter was born in February of 2009. Her birth was very difficult on both of us. It was a two day ordeal that resulted her being taken by emergency surgery. KG was badly bruised and suffered lacerations to her skull in two spots. She and I spent nearly a week in the hospital with four of those days in the pediatric ward in an isolette. She had to wear a special eye mask nearly all hours of the day which kept her blinded while under the lights. The first day there was especially terrifying, with nurses and doctors coming in and out of the room, looks of deep concern on their faces. I honestly did not think my baby girl was coming home with us. But thankfully, much in part to a great hospital staff, KG recovered and today is a thriving, healthy child preparing to celebrate her third birthday.

To this day I am still so very grateful that I was lucky enough to bring her home and blessed enough to be her mommy. I was fortunate enough to have access to medical care that made this possible. Now its my chance to help other mothers have that opportunity. By pledging whatever you can, you are helping me help expectant moms get good prenatal care, premature babies get a fighting chance and one more family that gets to take their little one home for good. And you are helping me teach KG how wonderful it feels to help others in need.
(Doctor) Who wants to have the power to chose a costume for Bates & Danger to sport at the October tapings in Berwyn, IL? Here is how you get'r done:

A little treat off the Amazon wish lists of Bates & Danger gets your name thrown into a hat (a sweet-ass fedora to be exact!). The winner of the contest gets to pick a costume theme for one of their matches and a sweet merch prize pack. All entries will get an autographed promo picture and a hearty THANK YOU from Re-X. Simple as that!

The not so fine print for the winner: Costume choice must be in good taste and reason. Pervy requests will be met with a hateful glare from Bates and a stiff kick to your shin from Danger as if you were a French referee. Winner and Re-X will work as a team to pull out something awesome for everyone to enjoy. Easy as!

So get on it-contest ends 31 August. Be sure to include your name when sending your treats so we know (Doctor) who to put in the hat. Thanks for playing!
This is what I am learning first hand. I received such amazing feedback and support from fans and the wrestling community alike for the first Womanist Revolution blog I wrote. News sites like Diva Dirt, Ringbelles and Dirty Dirty Sheets posted, discussed and help spread the blog around the world. Captured Beauty featured it in their RESPECT magazine issue 12. Twitter fans have used the hash tag #womanistrevolution countless times during RAW (now I just need a Womanist Revolution sign on tv so I can join the Dave Lagana/IWantWrestling club!). The more this gets out the more we can turn the tide towards a more respectable place for females in wrestling. For me though, it is not just about spreading the word, it is about living it. Putting myself out there as the number one example.

In the short time since I have posted my thoughts, I have had to really restructure how I do business. From how I take (or not take) bookings to handling issues backstage to how I teach and coach. I have passed up several paydays simply because doing them would contradict my own revolution. Frankly, it sucks to not make money but if I do not stay true to myself and to my words why would any of you give a damn about my mission? Here is where the one enemy within us lies.

I believe we all have enemies within ourselves but maybe one of our biggest one is our inability to say no. No, I will not take your booking with the ridiculous stipulation. No, I will not wrestle your untrained girlfriend because you do not feel like paying a real worker. No, I will not wrestle in a bra and panties match. No, no, no. Let us touch on the untrained opponent a bit, shall we? Recently, folks like April Hunter and NY Knockout Nikki have made mention to being in situations where they have booked against untrained or poorly trained females, some of these matches resulting in injury. Oh promoters, two X chromosomes and a pair of booty shorts do not make a gal a wrestler! Shall I (shall I??) indulge you folks in a personal story celebrating the fun of working with the untrained? I shall!

A few years back I was booked to do a show in North Carolina. I was part of a baby face tag team against a heel team of a female with similar time in as me and another female with a little less time but a monster build. Both good opponents to share a ring with. Unfortunately, the worker booked as my tag partner had to cancel off. The promoter, instead of finding a suitable female wrestler, decided to put in a worker’s girlfriend who, I believe, had never even taken a bump yet. Good times! We were able to structure a match around this person’s limitations and the match was go. Sadly, about two minutes into the heat, this gal tags out and leaves the rings because....wait for it....SHE GOT BORED TAKING THE HEAT. Thankfully, the remaining members of our match, who were not bored, were able to pull together a somewhat decent ending that didn’t kill them and told a story. In the back we get no apology and no explanation other than the “I was bored” and “I was in there for so long I thought you guys were playing a joke on me”. She spent the rest of the night suction cupped to her boyfriend while fixing her hair so she could manage him in the main event. Worst part is, neither the boyfriend (who was also her trainer) nor the promoter saw any problem with this behavior. Guess what, gang. This happens all the time (well, not the bored part, that was new to even me!). In this case, we were lucky that no one in the match was hurt. Not everyone gets that lucky. This does not happen to the guys so why are us females subjected to it? This is where we need to learn to say no. To do so in a respectful and professional manner. I feel secure in myself and my position that I can finally say no to doing matches like that. If the promoter chooses not to use me then cool. As long as I know I handled it professionally and within reason then I know I can sleep well having lost that booking. Not every female wrestler has that luxury though. We as women need to band together to protect one another. If we stand together we have a genuine shot as changing this mentality and providing a safer environment for one another. I am going to summarize something Lufisto told me one of the first times we met (I repeat this sentiment in training and seminars regularly now); “We may not like everyone but in the ring we are all best friends. And that is how we need to protect each other”. Perfection.

Quickly, I must touch of this: do not confuse untrained with new (green). I enjoy working with younger talent, helping them learn and grow. This also gives me the opportunity to help mold fresh minds towards a positive direction. Oddly enough, I have noticed some fans seem to have a sick fascination with young girls getting beat up by vets. You would be surprised by the formsprings/tweets/emails I have gotten about that subject. Honest mistake are just that-honest mistakes. There have been occasions over the years where lessons were taught in a more physical manner but those are few and far between for the most part. Be warned-if you fall into the category of hoping/asking/desiring a beat down of this sort I will place you swiftly into the creeper column.

And a digression to end this blog- how awesome is seeing Nattie Neidhart and Beth Phoenix together as a team? These two have the absolute potential to turn the WWE female division around if the writers and powers that be give them the chance. While I can not claim my revolution has led to this change I must say the timing is pure perfection. Between the CM Punk story and this tag team I am truly interested in WWE programming again. It really feels good to sit back and just be a fan again.

I am Allison Danger and I am your Feminist Icon.AD/Cathisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00200421388013093501noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4581096641004860151.post-9056568416532163612011-07-07T13:19:00.000-04:002011-07-07T13:19:52.582-04:00New Feminist Icon shirts available now!

Not just for my sake but for the sake of women wrestlers and the fans who know that change MUST happen now.

Female wrestlers-how sick and tired are you of men in suits in their offices telling us “Oh, yeah, you are great but you need to surgery/weight loss/look like every other female on the roster to really be considered”? Notice how the terms “train harder at practice” or “improve your in-ring skills” are not a part of this. Why do fans walk out during our matches? Why should we be the popcorn or piss break? Because for too long now we have been told our looks are the only thing people want to see. And history has proved my theory. We as wrestlers have become complacent. Why work harder when some fake hair and a crash diet are all we need to succeed? This is simply not good enough anymore. And if you think it is good enough, then this revolution is not for you. Be prepared to get out of my way and the way of those who are ready to fight for change.

Now don’t misconstrue this as an “anti-plastic surgery” rant. You want something larger/smaller/completely different then go on with your bad self. I am not here to judge and I will openly admit that I nearly went down that path myself. But never let anything overshadow your passion for wrestling. Never let it take down your desire to improve, to grow, to be the best WRESTLER you can be. Do not let it make you lazy. Do not rest your laurels simply on your cup size.

It is time we show offices and fans alike that looking different makes us special, not unemployable. But at the end of the day, what is most important is our performance. Are you not sick of being told “eh, you are ok for a girl”? I am. But I can’t potentially change a mind without looking at myself, seeing where I need improvement and actually DOING IT. I feel fortunate that there are women in this business who are leading by example. Despite their years in wrestling they have not once stopped trying to be better. Without knowing it, they are my inspiration. Despite the cattiness people assume when females are involved, I am happy for the successes of these peers and will continue to cheer them on. I would rather delight in some healthy competition and try to rise to their level than attempt to discredit them or hold them back to my level or lower. Ladies, let us delight in the successes of hardworking peers and hold ourselves to a higher standard.

Bookers/Writers- When did pride stop being a reason for a match? Why, when woman are involved, must it be about “bitch, you stole my man” or “I can’t believe she is wearing my/that outfit” or “everyone is just jealous of my beauty”? Until you start booking female wrestlers under 17 how about we keep that high school booking out of it? Why, in certain promotions, must every female be associated with a male wrestler (usually in a sexual context) to be considered worthy of tv or ring time? A women’s division should be just that: a division of female wrestlers. Make it about pride, about sport, about who is the best wrestler, about gold. Please stop turning this into a silly catfight that undermines both the talent and the fans. A possible rule of thumb: If Maury Povich would have a show on it then maybe its not meant for a wrestling storyline.

If your females are drawing the best ratings don’t cut their time and segments. Why punish them for being successful? Maybe tighten up YOUR work and give everyone better storylines. There is so much tremendous talent, contracted and not, but EVERYONE within a promotion and company pull their weight for the better of the product. From the music guy to the ring crew to the wrestlers to the promoters/owners-we all have to pull together and work as a cohesive to take all of professional wrestling to another level.

Fans-Just as there are different genres of wrestling, they are different genres of fans. For those who see female wrestling simply as fodder for your tissue soiling, please know deep down you are not and never will be my motivation as a wrestler. What you and your genitalia do on your own time has nothing to do with me and my performance. For the fans who simply hate women in wrestling and have permanently closed your mind to the possibility, best wishes to you. You are as hopeless a cause to me as I am to you. This revolution is for those who love us/hate us/indifferent to us but whose hearts open to the potential of what women’s wrestling can be. You have a voice. Use it proactively. If you hate what is on television then shut it off! Find what you do like and respect and support them. If you hate American female wrestling, don’t punish the Joshi scene, give it a shot. If there are 32 flavors of ice cream, why limit yourself to vanilla or chocolate? Have a favorite female independent wrestler, especially one who does not fit the “mold”? Show your support. Follow them on Twitter, come to indy shows they are on, rock their shirts. But please show your support in a respectful manner. Emailing powers that be with “you are an idiot if you don’t hire XYZ” will just fall on deaf ears. Posting on message boards that “Wrestler XYZ is the greatest ever nuf said” then sticking your fingers in your ears will fail you every time.

If everyone does their part we can, as a whole, bring female wrestling to a whole other level. We can rise like a phoenix from the ashes. Let us take back female wrestling and show that, if done right, 32 flavors can be incredible.

I am aware that in past years, I have sinned against what I am preaching now.

Eagles-Danger signed for March 20th SUN Main Event!

Posted by Curt Lemon on January 13th, 2011 | Comments Off
On the heels of the announcement of MADISON EAGLES joining the SUN Senpai roster, President Danger wasted no time in connecting with her partner at the SHIMMER office to set up a main event classic in the making. Danger, your current World-1 Women Champion and Eagles, the reigning SHIMMER Champion are now set to go head to head in never before seen action, title shot for title shot. With her imminent arrival on our shores, Eagles is looking to collect belts like a “porn star collects notches on a bedpost”. Danger, while having several standout matches at SHIMMER, has been distracted from the title race there, most noticeably with her last standing feud with Portia Perez. With this SUN main event, if Eagles can successfully beat Danger, she will get a future shot at the World-1 Women title. If Danger prevails, the SHIMMER office will give her a title shot against Eagles. Which woman will come out on top? Be there March 20th in Jackson, NJ to find out!
First, NCW-FF announced me for their March 12, 2011 line up in which I will be making my Canadian debut. Second, SHIMMER announced our return to the Berywn Eagles Club the weekend of March 26th and 27th. Now, for the coup de grâce, today bears the following news:

Pro-Wrestling SUN Returns!
Pro-Wrestling SUN was a women’s company that First On Stage produced for two years in Japan and quietly went into hibernation when its top two stars, Hikaru and Seki Maemura, retired. The WORLD-1 Women’s title, EWA Women’s title, now defunct AWA Superstars of Wrestling title, and WDB Mixed tag team titles were recognized.
Allison Danger will serve as the 2011 President of the new SUN and plans to run events before the regular WORLD-1 events. The WORLD-1 Womens title will be the recognized title for SUN and Ms. Danger has not announced if there will be a tag team title.
“Being the President of the new Pro-Wrestling SUN will give me the creative outlet that I have been looking for. Women’s pro-wrestling in the States over the last two years has been on the rise and with SUN we will have a chance to do something different. It is our time to shine and that is why I am so happy that Mr. Nakamura allowed us to continue using the name SUN.
Both SHIMMER and WSU have done an amazing job of bringing real womens professional wrestling to a new audience and with SUN we will try different things.
In no way are we trying to compete with the other womens organizations and I look forward to working with both companies to help everyone. I believe 2011 will be the year of womens pro-wrestling.”
The first event will take place Sunday afternoon, March 20 at the Knights Of Columbus in Jackson, NJ with a 2pm belltime.
Pro-Wrestling SUN will showcasing a "double roster", one made up of veterans female wrestlers and the second a line up of fresh up and comers. All athletes will be representing their respective home feds under the universal banner of SUN. Over the next few weeks, stay tuned to hear the names and feds of both rosters. Be sure to watch the World-1 site, Diva-Dirt.com, the WOW Podcast and here for any and all details.

Gang-I would love to hear feedback and hear who YOU want to be a potential member of SUN. Be sure to leave your thoughts and suggestions in the comment section!

Until then, you know the drill! Own it, Tim Gunn!
Hope you all had a great holiday with lots of pie. I know I sure did! To steal a phrase from the delightful Kevin Harvey, I needed to do a little more Thanksgymming and a little less Thanksgiving!
As I promised before, I am currently taking on dates for the first half of 2011. And I am glad to report that I will be joining the Arenachicks table at the WrestleReunion convention in Los Angeles at the end of January. Check out this nifty banner repping it:
This will actually be my first time ever in LA so this should be pretty interesting. Speaking of, I really hope I like the city of LA because I sure am growing to loathe California drivers. Seriously, you people are to Nevada what Jersey drivers are to Pennsylvania.
Black Friday came and went and I am now the proud new owner of a tremendous camera, compliments of my husband. So anticipate a lot of pictures in the blog to come.

With the Christmas season rapidly approaching, who really wants to leave their house to fight traffic and old ladies to shop? Luckily, I have made it easier on you with my Amazon wish list (gotta plug it!) http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/3IL4TSXF4E50K Gifts are awesome (seriously, you know you love them, too!) and if you pass along your name and info I will happily respond in kind with a free 8x10. And who says I am not in the holiday spirit? Bah humbug my butt!

Been loving my Netflix so much lately. Torchwood has become my show of choice for instant watching and I am currently struggling through the True Blood Season 1 dvds. I have also been pillaging my local library and read both the John Barrowman (Capt. Jack Harkness for all you non-nerds) autobiography and the Chelsea Handler one night stand book. Can anyone explain why people find her funny? I just do not see it.

If you have a little time to kill head on over to diva-dirt.com (there is totally a link on your right to make it even easier) and listen to the brand new installment of the Untitled Allison Danger Show. Steven, Amber and I are back and taking on TNA, WWE, SHIMMER, Dancing with the Stars, Steven's new nickname from my daughter and Amber's surprise sex dream partner and more! This is a don't miss show!

Until next time-Own It, Tim Gunn It,
I sure did! Way too much candy has been consumed but hey, you only live once, right? Besides, people wouldn’t give it to you if they didn’t want you to eat it. So there! KG and I went as kitty cats. Awesome, right? :)
Things are great here in Vegas, minus the black widows that keep popping up. Two to be exact. If there is one thing in life I can do without it is spiders. Yuck.

My 2010 wrestling year has been great but now I am really look toward 2011. Good things are already starting to stir up, particularly my (finally) Canadian debut (seriously, it only took nearly 11 years)! NCW Femme Fatales announced that I will be joining their roster for the March 12, 2011 show in Montreal. I will be facing Anastasia Ivy and I plan on making quite the impact there. Let’s see if I can put in their hot announcement video....
What? That worked?! Go me!

In October, I made my debut for MLW, a customs company based in TN. I had a great time, made some new friends, hung out with some old and, oh yeah, even Mary Elizabeth was there (bam!). I will be posting some shots taken from there on my Facebook fanpage later tonight. And as always, it was great to be reunited with my Dangerous Angel life partner Sara Del Rey for some funsies:
Sorry, its been a craaaazy five weeks. But now that I have a big, pink gun to my blogger head, compliments of Mia Svensson, here is a new blog!

First things first-I love Las Vegas. The family and I just got into our new apartment which is about four miles from the main Strip. When I park our car I can see the light from Luxor hotel. Even better, there is a friggin' Chipotle three minutes from my house. Which is next to Panda Express. Total awesomesauce. I love living right in the middle of anything and everything I could possibly want (and things I had no idea I wanted). I have walked around the Strip a bit, hit up some buffets and even dabbled in some gambling. We also went to the Olympia Convention and I got to see Monica Brant (fitness model), Jimmy Snuka and Deuce. Pics-yay! *note the rhinestone Danger shirt, I totally had to rep it at Olympia*

On the wrestling front, SHIMMER returned to the Berwyn Eagles Club September 11 and 12th. I really enjoyed my matches with Leva Bates and the returning Veronika Vice. I was really proud of the performances all around from all the women and can't wait to see the complete footage. In addition, Kendall and I were absolutely spoiled by all sorts of gifts and I must say I am super grateful to everyone including my adorable Brit Squad and the gang at Diva-Dirt (plus extra shout outs to Eric and Jennifer!). Kendall wasn't meant to make the trip to Chicagoland but at the last minute had to accompany me. The ladies in the back were great with her and Daffney is rumoured to have discovered my daughter's ability to do backstage "Shimmerviews". The one with Kong is a riot.

Have I discussed Yogurtland yet? No? Well, let me remedy that. Yogurtland is this amazing little place in the same shopping center as my gigantic gym (cruel, eh?). You pay by the ounce, have at least 12 different frozen yogurts flavors which you can sample at anytime and at least 30 different toppings to choose from. Right now my favorite is coffee yogurt with peanut butter cups in it. Tastes just like a Coffee Crisp (Jen Blake, Lufisto and Madison Rayne know whats up). The peanut butter flavor is rocking as is the double cookies and cream. The pumpkin pie yogurt is a giant failure though. This place is easily my new top choice of yummy!

I have eased back on dates through the rest of the year while I continue to get my bearings here in Vegas but I am beginning a new (and hopefully long) relationship with MLW in TN. MLW does great work in customs and I will be taping with them Oct. 16th and 17th. If you are interested in having me do your customs, please do not hesitate to contact them at mlwonline.com and order up. Not only I am there but so are Sara Del Rey, Tenille Tayla and a host of other ladies.

Until next time, Own it, Tim Gunn it (and bury a bunch of trashy tv chicks while doing it!! HA!)
This will be my humble attempt to honor her.

Luna was a pioneer for women like me. Women in wrestling who never fit the sex kitten role. For that alone I will be forever indebted to her. She paved a path that I follow today, striving to be something unique, to be the girl who stands out in a ring. Women of wrestling-please take a moment to honor one of our founding mothers whose hard work, dedication and love of this business made it possible for us to be who we are today.

Luna-thank you for being a warm and wonderful person to me outside the ring. Wherever you are, I hope you are at peace. Bless you, my friend.
My next blog will be the Viva Blog Vegas version!! :) So what is going on in my world you ask? Here goes:

This weekend I will face Mia Svensson in a cage in Lumberton, NC. for my RWC Flow title. Despite being ten years into my career this will be my first ever cage match. I am pretty excited and feeling ready for it. This will also be my last scheduled show in NC for the time being. But I will be back, got some titles to defend.

Got your tickets for SHIMMER yet? I will have some new girls shirts ready for intermission. They are the Danger 2000-2010 ones that I had for men at the last set of tapings. These new ones are black, girl cut and with a V neck with the logo on the front. Super cute! Also, new 8x10s should be available. And I will be collecting donations for Danger's Dental Deeds. Don't forget about the SHIMMER afterparties at 39Ten following each taping. As the official Director of Shenanigans I am hoping to make sure we have even more fun than last time. Dance Off Mania!

I broke down and joined formspring.me so if you follow me on the Twitter be sure to send all your questions to my formspring. I answer all questions (within reason!) on there and tweet out the best ones. While you are there be sure to check out @AmberGertner, @CCorino and especially @CorinoWrestling.

I had a major announcement that was supposed to go this past Monday but unfortunately it got a little held up but, fingers crossed, it should be known to all this Thursday. I can not wait to fill you guys in on all the details! 2011 could be a very SUNNY year for A. Danger!

On a fashion note, did anyone catch Tim Gunn burying the chick from Top Chef in his latest Marie Clare article? High-larious!

Until next time-Own it, Tim Gunn it!

First off, let me apologize for the lack of Untitled Allison Danger Show this past weekend. Amber Gertner, Steven and I did have one done but for reasons beyond our control the show had some technological issue. Dang technology, eh? But no fears as we should have one up soon. Shame the other one didn't work out because Steven and I were able to set off Gertner and she went off on a former Diva. Hi-larious stuff. Fingers crossed that lightning will strike twice when we record again.

So how have you guys been? I am sure some of you may have seen me tweeting lately about "big life decisions" and such. I have alluded to a few things but here is the true inside scoop: The Danger Money family is moving to Las Vegas! It is time for Ares to take his pro poker playing to the next level. Watch your back, Phil Helmuth!! So for the month of August I will be wrapping up all my dates here in NC. And after this Sunday I plan on taking both the World-1 Womens Championship and the RWC-Flow title with me out West! Got any places out on the West Coast where you want to see me at? Comment with your favorite promotions and let's see what cooks up.

Also during the month of August, I will be shedding as much wrestling merch and swag as possible. I will randomly blog or tweet new available items or random sales so keep watching here and following me on Twitter @allisondanger (link to the right!). Here is a gem for sale today:

This is a first come, first serve ONE of a kind item for the ladies. This is a size Medium peach shirt, 3/4 sleeves and biased cut neckline, rhinestone DANGER shirt. $25 plus $5 shipping and this sweet baby is all yours.
Enough business, let us talk some fun stuff! First off, Saturday I was set to face Mia Svensson at RWC to defend my FLOW title but guess who backed out due to the heat (and not just from the crowd, BAM!)? Nicole Policki took her spot and really worked hard in her attempt to upset me for the belt. It took a Lovelace Choker in the ring and one off the ropes to put her away but the title is still around my waist. After the show, Ares, Pookie and I hop into the car for a road trip up to PA for the Chikarasaurus Rex show in Philly. This easily has to be the best show I have seen from Chikara. Everyone on the roster should be proud of Sunday's show. I can not rave enough about it. I know the dvd is already available so as soon as you are done reading this you MUST get a copy of the show.

After finally getting some sleep Sunday night we woke up to free Phillies tickets from my favorite brother, Steve (@CorinoWrestling). Ares, Pookie and my nephew Colby (@CCorino) rode down to the Citizens Bank Park and had a phenomenal time watching the Phillies beat the Colorado Rockies. Pookie at first was a bit scared of the crowd and their rabid reactions but by the end she was dancing with the music and loving the Phanatic. After the game we met up with 2 members of BDK for some outlet shopping. While waiting in the Sony store Claudio Castagnoli, Ares, Pookie, Colby and I heard the Final Countdown come across the speakers. All five of us immediately stared at the door in hopes Sara Del Rey would burst through but alas, it did not happen. Damn Jones of New York and their sales!

This weekend I am in Roseboro, NC facing a new girl on the scene. Keep checking back for an updated schedule. And have you gotten your SHIMMER tickets yet for Sept 11 and 12? If not, what are you waiting for?!
I present to you-Exhibit A:

This past Saturday night saw my Dangerous Angels partner and hetero life mate Sara Del Rey and I debuting for SCWA (Reidsville, NC). We faced the team of Persephone and Kristin Flake. Thanks to her mad Royal Butterfly skittles, Del Rey pulled out a win for us just in the nick of time. Although I did have my noggin rammed into a chair by Persephone and was feeling a bit woozy, I was all ready to head to the locker room to celebrate with Del Rey and hoof it to the nearest Sheetz. However, fate had another plan for me. On my way to the curtain, a few kids started screaming at me. By kids I would venture to say about 8-13/14 years old. Old enough to know better than challenge me to a verbal battle. After screaming repeatedly that I suck/sucked/all forms of suck, I simply responded with the following:

"If your mom sucked more, then maybe you wouldn't be here". Now, for those you know or follow me closely, this line is not really a new one. Sly enough to go over the heads of most young'uns but still land at my intended target-Mom. And did I hit my target. Before I even reached the curtain, Mom jumps OUT OF HER WHEELCHAIR and runs over ready to swing at my head. Del Rey steps in front of me as she saw Old Woman River coming at me and security quickly follows. She gets in my face and starts screaming at me about my "unwelcome Yankee mouth" and other things". To be honest, I am highly amused at this scene but its really time to let the show continue. And Sheetz was calling my name. So I tell her to take her mulleted rear end back to her fake wheelchair and chillax. I think pointing out the wheelchair part sent her into quite a tizzy because she actually went to the promoter to bury me and tell lies about what I said. The folks at SCWA were top notch though and handled the situation very well. So how many wrestlers can honestly boast to helping the crippled find the will to walk again? That's right, just one. Allison Danger.

In other wrestling fun, on Friday night I found myself opposite Del Rey in her Arenachicks debut match in Burlington, NC. Opposite Death Rey is really not one of my favorite places to be. Why you ask? Because she kicks me in places that hurt (and are NOT big, Sara!!). I kid though. She is actually one of my favorite people to be in the ring with because with her I always have to step up my game and I love that challenge. There are plenty of good reasons why she is truly one of the best female wrestlers in the world.

After finding a decent hotel after the Arenachicks match, Del Rey and I settled in with some Golden Girls before hitting the sack. Saturday morning we were able to knock out a workout at the hotel (watching the Soup while doing the P90X Ab Ripper=buys) then get packed and showered for a super late check out of 11:30am. Yup, the lady at the front desk gave us a whopping 30 extra minutes. Not that anyone was knocking down the front door to check in. Lamesauce. We had several hours to kill so decided to catch a matinée before heading up to the Reidsville show. I plugged Movie Theaters into the GPS and found one maybe two miles down the road. Score! Or so I thought until we pulled up to it and found it to be a $3 joint with really lame/outdated choices. Bust! Try the GPS again, find a second one 6 miles away. While on our way to that one Del Rey called to check the movie times. Showtime-noon and our ETA was 12:02. Not too shabby. Until we reached the theater to find out it had been closed for about THREE years. Doppelbust! I quickly gassed up, asked the attendant where the theater moved to and ended up catching the 12:50 showing. Worked out great as there was a Barnes & Noble nearby and we were able to hook up a quick coffee fix. We caught Eclipse and Death Rey was knocking back some hilarious one liners. Oh and before you mock our choice, suck it. Neither of us are Twi-hards by any means but it was definitely an enjoyable way to sit and spend two hours. And if push comes to shove and I did have to pick a team I would lead Team Jasper all the way. Something about that sly smile of his-DAMMMMMMNRONSIMMONS.
Geez, is this blog over yet? Uh, nope, keep reading.
Sunday was customs at the OAP studios. My nephew Colby rode in with Claudio Castagnoli to train in between matches. After tapings, he rode back to the beach with me. After fueling up our bodies and our minds at Sheetz we hit the highway. Everything was going great until my tiny bladder started acting up in class. I take an exit on the highway that I know well and prepare to make a left hand turn into a gas station. However, the lady in front of me had other plans and leaves the middle lane to enter the turning lane I am already in. She nearly sideswipes my rental car and actually sends us into oncoming traffic. Thankfully, the car leading the oncoming lane saw what happened and was able to stop before hitting us and subsequently block traffic so no one would hit us. I blare on my horn to let the lady know 1. I am hot and 2. To move forward so I can get out of traffic and make the turn safely. I end up following her into the parking lot and decide I am going to give her a piece of my mind. By piece of my mind I am about to tear this lady apart. But once I got to the car I noticed that she was shaking terribly and actually terrified to roll down her window. I really felt bad and immediately calmed down as I could see how remorseful she already was. I ended up calming her nerves the best I could and just explained how serious that incident was, especially because my nephew was in the car. The lady, who was about 70 years old, was truly scared that I was going to go all road rage on her (tempting thought but I am glad I got myself under control). All in all, instead of making a bad situation worse for both of us, we shook heads and I told her to be safe and try to have a good day. My hubby was so proud of me. Old Danger might have beat the gray right off her hair, LOL. That folks, is your Exhibit B. Need I show more? Nah, I rest my case!
Still reading? Bravo to you! You, my friend, are a true fan.
On that night, I think it is time for my fingers and brain to rest. As my daughter would say, "Nigh-nigh!". Or "Dora!". Until next time, Own It, Tim Gunn it.
Blogger's block? If so, then I have a mild case of it. So for your "Dangertainment" (HA! Big thanks to Miss J for that new phrase. I will be sporting that everywhere)I will now spout total randomness.

First off, is randomness really a word? And should I use it as a noun?

As I sit here and finish my 30 allotted cashews, I want to send out telepathic waves of hatred toward Tony Horton and his evil P90X. I hate you, Tony Horton. I plan on hating you for another 87 days, too. Every time I see your smiling face I imagine you have a not so evil twin brother named Tim who makes wonderful donuts and makes the whole world smell like a deep fried pastry. But, in a moment of fairweatherness, I am sure I will love Tony again once I see the end results. We shall see (SHALL I???).

See any good movies lately?

Looking forward to a great weekend off. 4th of July, a wedding and time with my brother and nephew will make for a butt kicking weekend. Been trying to teach my daughter how to say her cousin's name. Right now she is coming out with "Bow-bie". I think he will take it. :)

I miss LOST. I know Puente does, too. My husband-not so much. Sucka. Tuesday night television now drips with lamesauce. However, I did start a new book-Amy Tan's Saving Fish From Drowning. Feel free to read along and discuss with me.

Kicking it on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon here on the comp, making some updates and answering your questions that were sent via my Twitter feed yesterday. Gonna jump right in to the Q&A after this quick commercial break.

*Are you in need of completing your SHIMMER dvd collection? Frustrated because you can't find original early volumes? Well, look no further! Deep from the Danger Vault (by deep I mean "totally forgotten few left in storage that I stumbled upon accidentally") I have a very limited amount of Volumes 2-6 available. Reach me via the Twitter or Myspace links on this page to order*

And now on to the Q&A!

@HurricaneHelms But who's the baby daddy's? RT @allisondanger: @AmberGertner Darn right I do! We are sisters from different misters. :)

Maury is in my ear piece saying: “Hurricane, you are NOT the father”. :)

benmartin88@allisondanger any chance we might see you back in ROH since Christopher Daniels is back?? your best non wrestling stuff was with him.

I am very open to returning to ROH and being reunited with Daniels. Some of my best wrestling memories were working with him. I learned so much from the five years we were teamed up and wish him nothing but the best in life.

bobschlapowitz@allisondanger Will you ever wrestle in Massachusetts?

I have wrestled there before but currently have no bookings based there in the immediate future.

stoneheartsecho@allisondanger why haven't you submitted a video in oprah's competition to host your own talk show?

I seriously had no idea Oprah was having a competition like that. Guess now people’s DDP tweets make more sense, LOL. But yeah, Oprah ain’t ready for this verbal jelly.

thefamouseric@allisondanger if you were a disney princess, which one would you be?

I will go with Sleeping Beauty as she is my favorite Disney princess of all time. I recently bought my daughter a beautiful hardback treasury of princess stories. We are currently reading Snow White.

wanderingeuan@allisondanger Favourite match you've been a part of?

My favorite non-wrestling role was ringside for ROH’s Final Battle where Daniels and Maff faced the team of Arashi and Great Muta. There is a really awesome shot of the three of us standing under blue lights waiting for their arrival into the ring and I remember whispering to Chris “wow”. It was one of those breathtaking moments in life that you never forget.

I have a few favorite matches. I loved the tag match of Dangerous Angels vs Cheerleader Melissa and Nattie Neidhart. Cindy Rogers and I once had a crazy tag match in front of a small crowd, half the roster didn’t even show up so we threw something together and ended up having such a fun match. I loved the series I had with Rebecca Knox at SHIMMER, too.

ScottieDubbs@allisondanger who were your favorite wrestlers growing up?

Ricky Steamboat. He was my absolute favorite and first wrestling crush.

militarfreak@allisondanger Hey Allison whats your opinion on Serena deeb in WWE ?

Unfortunately, I have not seen much of her stuff in WWE but the parts I have seen I am quite impressed with. Serena was such a joy to have at SHIMMER. She truly has a spark for life and a talent for wrestling. I just hope she gets some in-ring time with WWE to really show off her abilities.

ralphspekt@allisondanger Who on the Shimmer roster do you most want to face at the next DVD taping? (p.s. you're AWESOME on commentary.)

Probably Nikki Roxx. I have always loved her work and yet we have never gotten to face each other one on one. Madison Eagles would be another great one though now it will be tougher since I am not really in the run for a title shot as of now. MsChif would be another.

JenniferL134@allisondanger Yes I have a question: how did you get to be so damn awesome? :D

When I was born, all the stars were perfectly aligned, birds sang and tyrants fell. It was a good day.

SarahFlann@allisondanger favourite Shimmer afterparty memory?
Winning the dance off, or course :)
Why, you ask? Because today was an awesome day.

First, after getting a rare chance to sleep in (9:15am is sleeping in for us), the whole family sat in front of the big screen and watched Switzerland upset the number 2 seeded Spain in some World Cup action. Hopp Schwiiz! Now, I have never been a huge football fan but I had to cheer for my husband's and daughter's people. Check out @areswrestler on the Twitter and see a fun (albeit blurry thanks to the crazy heat and humidity here at the beach)video of Ares running up and down our road screaming "Switzerland won, Switzerland won!". Sadly, no passersby honked or really even recognized what flag he was waving. But, needless to say, I was very proud to be Swiss by marriage today. And to add to her cuteness, Kendall can now yell "GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAALL!". Pure awesomesauce. The rest of my day included a surprise nap, a great family lunch and some rollerblading action before the weather turned rainy.

On a wrestling front, things have been looking up lately. I have been pretty busy that past four or so weekends in a row. Did customs x2 for AmberONeal.net, debuted at the inaugural CWF Arenachicks show where I faced my student Mia Svensson, had a fun match with Awesome Kong for RWC in addition to having a great turnout for my training seminar that day....it was nice to have things pick up, if only briefly. I am off now until July 9th, where I will be seconding one of my favorite people in the world, Sara Del Rey (@SDRPyoo) when she makes her debut for CWF Arenachicks against another debuting talent Rachel Summerlyn (@rachelsummerlyn). July 10th will see me teaming up with Del Rey for SCWA and facing the team of Persephone and Kristin Flake (@tricepextension). July 11th is a customs shoot for OAP then Del Rey and I are headed back to the beach for a mini vacation. After a two week break, July 24th is RWC in Raeford, NC then off to Philadelphia for a short family vacation. August is a pretty relaxed schedule so far so if anyone is looking to book them some A.D. August looks like a great time to catch me.

Have you guys been catching my Untitled Allison Danger Show on diva-dirt.com? Show #4 just posted there on Saturday (should be up here in a matter of days). Be sure to check it out all the craziness from myself, Amber Gertner (@ambergertner), our not really gay BFF Steven (@HarderTheyFall) and our occasional co-host and LOST correspondent Puente (@TeleuteDPu) as we discuss everything from WWE to TNA to the Indies to random digressions plus regular features including Douchecanoe of the Week and Dear Danger. And be sure to follow Diva-Dirt.com on the Twitter @divadirt!
The match was non-title but did have two stipulations attached as Mia Svensson apparently paid Kong to take out Danger for her. The stipulations were: If Awesome Kong defeated Allison Danger, Mia Svensson would receive the next shot at Danger's RWC-FLOW Womens Title but if AD succeeded in taking down Kong, Svensson could never challenge her for the title again.

After a hard fought battle, which saw Svensson inject herself twice into the match, Kong defeated Danger via a Backfist and the Implant Buster. Mia Svensson is now the number one contender to the RWC-Flow Womens Title.AD/Cathisonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00200421388013093501noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4581096641004860151.post-31663772074177149482010-05-31T04:34:00.001-04:002010-05-31T06:16:27.261-04:00"The Untitled Allison Danger Show" - Episode 3here is the newest episode of the "Untitled Allison Danger Show".
